Job Vacancy for Caretaker/Cleaner

 Summary

Caretaker/Cleaner 25.5 hours a week, split flexibly into shifts.

Salary – Starting at pro rata Norfolk Scale C Point 3 £20,812 FTE.

Permanent Position;  Required for immediate start.

Description

The Head Teacher and Governing Body of St Benet’s Catholic Primary School are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic, skilled and dedicated person to take on this extremely important role within the school.

Working a split shift you will be a key holder responsible for opening the site in the morning and closing in the evening, ensuring the security of the buildings and contents, health and safety monitoring and will be expected to deliver the full range of caretaking, cleaning, maintenance and general repair duties to a high standard and completing the relevant paperwork, as set out in the job description.

This is a varied and interesting role and you must be able to work effectively as part of a team, be friendly, approachable, conscientious and have the ability to readily adapt to differing priorities and work well under pressure.  You must also have the physical ability to carry out manual handling tasks.

There is scope for this position to just be a caretaking role for fewer hours a week, please contact Mrs Grant or Mrs Barlow via the school office to discuss this further.

The Friends of St. Benet’s Primary School Association is a registered charity (number 1041838) who fundraise throughout the year to buy the extras the school’s budget would struggle to stretch to.

We have recently purchased some new play equipment and weather station for the children to enjoy. We also put on fun events to help promote a strong school community.

Market stall

We run street stalls twice a year in the town centre and host an annual Christmas and Summer fayre to raise money – and we would welcome your support at any or all of these events! – which will be advertised on this web site.
