Catholic Schools

St Benet’s Catholic Primary School

Situated adjacent to the Church – and sharing the Parish Hall – St Benet’s is a co-educational voluntary-aided school for children aged 4 to 11.

Our school has always had close links with our neighbouring school of St Edmund’s in Bungay, and in 2010, formed a Schools Federation.

The school Mission Statement says: “Our expectation is that every day FAITH is at the heart of everything we do:

Fulfil our potential
Aspire to excel
Immerse ourselves in the community
Think of others
Hold God in our hearts.”

The school web site is at http://www.st-benets.suffolk.sch.uk/

Notre Dame High School (NDHS)

Situated in the city of Norwich, NDHS is our Catholic Secondary school.  Their web site is at  http://www.ndhs.org.uk.

The Mission Statement says: “We are a Catholic High School where every person is a valued member of our community, invited to follow Christ’s call to a life of Hope, Joy, Love, and Forgiveness.  We are committed to fostering high expectations and developing the full potential of each individual so that they may become compassionate, interdependent, lifelong learners, striving to create a better and more peaceful world.”

Our Catholic Multi Academy Trust (CMAT)

St Benet’s and St Edmund’s Bungay, have joined with St Francis of Assisi, Norwich; St Mary & St Peter’s Gorleston;  St Mary’s, Lowestoft; and Notre Dame High School, Norwich in the St John the Baptist Catholic Multi Academy Trust.

The mission statement says: ““Our family of schools is united in the belief that God’s love, peace, truth, and joy is for all. We are dedicated to the achievement of excellence in all we do. We cherish the uniqueness of each of our school communities and celebrate together as one Trust family. By following Jesus’s example, we bear witness to the greatness of God.
