‘Alive in Faith‘
At the time of writing, 10 March 2017, we are delighted to announce that we have surpassed our fundraising target for the Diocesan appeal in support of the training of future priests.
More than 30 pledge forms have been returned, representing a promise of over £30,000 from our parishioners to the diocese over the coming five years. (Please note that donors may alter the terms of their pledges at any time, particularly when their circumstances change).
It was agreed between Bishop Alan and the Benedictines of Beccles and Bungay that funds raised in excess of the initial £25,000 target would go to support priests’ training at Downside Abbey as well as in the Diocese.
Active promotion of the appeal continues until Sunday March 19 (St Joseph’s Day). Please provide for the care of our future Church family and return any outstanding pledge forms by that date.
Also, please note that the appeal continues into the future and further pledges may be received – whether by the Diocese or Fr Martin, or by Chris Boyes or Brian Lewis.
Sincere gratitude is expressed to those who have already donated; please contact Fr Martin for further details (especially if a letter has not reached you!).
