DIOCESAN & NATIONAL EVENTS & ACTIVITIES
Dowry of Mary; Sunday 29 March.
On Sunday 29th March this year, England will be rededicated to Our Lady as ‘Dowry of Mary’ (a title which has been in use – intermittently – for almost a thousand years).
In our diocese this is planned to take place at Walsingham, in every parish and in as many homes as possible.
Mgr John Armitage, Rector of the National Shrine of Our Lady of Walsingham, has asked that we prepare spiritually for the rededication by praying the Angelus at the end of daily Mass and so we shall continue with this special prayer on weekdays and Saturdays for the next three months or so.
‘Our Lady welcomed the coming of Christ into the world and into our lives; may she help us to do the same’.
