School Play; Monday 15 July; 18:00
There will be an end-of-term performance in St Benet’s Hall at 6 pm on Monday 15th July, during which the school leavers will demonstrate how to solve a mystery.
National Grandparents’ Pilgrimage; Sunday 21 July
This annual family Pilgrimage to Walsingham takes place on Sunday 21st July with Mass at midday preceded by the Sacrament of Reconciliation
After lunch there will be a performance of The Walsingham Story from 2.30 pm; and Eucharistic Adoration from 4.00 pm.
Mary’s Meals Backpack Project; Mass, Sunday 21 July; 18:00
Details are available at the back of both churches and a good number of backpacks are being filled by our schoolchildren – in celebration of which there’ll be a special Mass led by some of this year’s First Communion children at 6 pm on Sunday 21st July. The appeal continues until the end of the summer – please contact Helen on 710483.
Parish Outing; Monday 22 July
This is planned for Monday 22nd July, when we shall celebrate midday Mass in the ruins of Thetford Priory (or in the church nearby, depending upon the weather), followed by a picnic and other local attractions: ideas and suggestions are posted at the back of both churches.
Summer Events for Those Aged 18-35 (Please note the age range!)
Two good residential courses are being advertised for the summer holidays, and subsidies for both are available from the parish and from a generous sponsor.
Compass; Midlands; 22 to 26 July
This is for ‘discerning young adults’.
It is a new vocation-oriented conference to be held in the Midlands between July 22nd (Monday lunchtime) and 26th (Friday afternoon): notices are posted at the back of both churches.
Evangelium; Reading; 16 to 18 August
The annual Summer Course, held at the Oratory School, Reading between 16th and 18th August this year, is devoted to the theme of explaining the Catholic faith in the modern world – further details are available from Fr Martin.
Pilgrimage to Knock; 07 October; 4 nights
This pilgrimage costs £599.00 pp sharing. It includes flight with 10kg hand luggage, from Stansted, 4 nights’ in Knock House Hotel with full board.
All entertainment/ guided tours included. Single room supp £100.

The next Market Stall, in aid of our chosen charities for 2019, will be held outside the King’s Head, Market Square, Beccles,
on Friday 02 August from 10:00 to 14:00
Further stalls are planned for:
16 August; 13 September; 11 October.
We will be delighted to have additional help to
- erect our stall (09:30 to 10:00);
- help to serve (for any period between 10:00 and 14:00);
- AND to take it all down and pack it away (about 14:00 to 14:30)
