HOLY WEEK AND EASTER
Two separate celebrations of the Passion are held during Holy Week:-
St Matthew’s version is read during Mass on Palm Sunday, 09 April;
The Passion according to St John is read at the Good Friday Liturgy at 15:00 on 14 April.
Among the other events are:-
Tuesday 11 April, at 19:00; the Chrism Mass will be celebrated in St John’s Cathedral, Norwich.
Maundy Thursday, 13 April, at 19:00; the Mass of the Lord’s Supper will be celebrated in St Benet’s.
Mass will be followed by prayer with the Blessed Sacrament in the Lady Chapel until midnight.
Good Friday, 14 April, at 10.30 Stations of the Cross will be said in St Benet’s;
This will be followed by the ecumenical Walk of Witness from Kilbrack to the centre of town between 11.30 and midday.
The Passion according to St John is read at the Good Friday Liturgy at 15:00.
Holy Saturday, 15 April, there will be Morning Prayer at 10:00 (There will be no Mass);
Confessions will be heard throughout the day – by appointment.

n Saturday evening, the Easter Vigil, – during which Colin and Nikki Childs will be received into the Church and confirmed – begins in St Benet’s at 20:00.
On Easter Sunday, 16 April, Mass will be celebrated at OLPS (Gillingham) at 08:00 and at St Benet’s at 10:30.
Please note that there will be no evening Mass on Easter Sunday.
